I spent all day stripping the magneto checking all the insulayion and connections over and over.
I finally came to the conclusion that the problem only kicked in when I was changing bulbs.
I think I have put a too high wattage bulb in the headlight, causing a drain on the charge of the mag system.
If that isn't the problem then it must be a short on the headlight.
The main thing that has come out of this is, that the bike runs on 6 volts and to get 6 volt bulbs I have to order them fromWemoto and they won't arrive untill Friday.
Which means a delayed start to the ride.
Just going to check ferries, but if my memory serves me right there is one on Sunday so here's hoping
